Student Loan Clinic

Hello fellow union siblings!

With constant rising cost of education, the burden of paying off student loans can be overwhelming. PSUFA and AFT OR are cosponsoring a online student loan clinic this Sunday, March 8th from 11 am - 12:30 pm. This event is open to all union members to attend; you just need to register.

During this 90-minute zoom student debt clinic they’ll cover:

• Situate the experience of borrowers in the midst of a national student debt crisis;

• Empower you to manage your student debt by giving you information on free federal programs that may lower your monthly payments and lead to your loans being forgiven;

• Engage in union activism to address the student debt crisis and other important issues in the workplace and community.

The student debt clinic will provide members with information on how these programs work, the necessary steps to qualify for them, resources to support you through the process, and best practices to make sure that you’re maximizing the available benefits.
