Election Voting is Open!

Voting is open for the AFSCME Local 328 Presidential Run-Off and IU Convention Delegate Election! All eligible voting members should have received an email this morning from our outside vendor, YesElections, sent to their OHSU email. Voting is open until next Friday, June 26th at noon.

Head-shots and bios for each of the candidates can be found on our elections page!

We held our first-ever Candidate Forum for our Presidential Run-Off on Thursday, June 18th. The candidates were asked six questions: 3 questions were given beforehand, and for the other three, candidates were given 60 seconds to prepare before their response. Each candidate has 3 minutes to answer, and at the end each candidate was given 5 minutes for closing statements.

Here is a link to a recording of the Presidential Run-Off Candidate Forum if you were unable to attend the live event!

Regarding the 11 IU Delegates, they are all eligible to attend the convention in Chicago. This vote determines which of the 11 delegates will have the cost of attending the convention covered by our Local, with the delegate who gets the highest number of votes being the winner.

Once voting closes, results will be tabulated and the results will be sent out to the membership in it’s entirety before the end of the day. If you have any questions, please email election@local 328.org.
