Lobby Day is powerful opportunity for us to make our voices heard directly by the lawmakers who make decisions that impact our jobs, our families, and our communities. In the face of uncertainty, having a say in those decisions is more important than it has ever been, and Lobby Day is one of our most effective ways to do that.
OHSU is facing major cuts from Oregon Legislature, including possible cuts to funding medical residencies and fellowships - endangering a critical mission and directly affecting union-represented colleagues. This is our opportunity to tell our lawmakers what is most important to fund: the healthcare and livelihood of Oregonians like us.
What to expect:
Pre-scheduled meetings with your legislators in the Oregon House and Senate
Training so you feel confident and prepared to share your story
Staff to guide and support you throughout the day
This event brings members together from across all sectors and regions to show Oregon’s leadership that we have real power when we stand united.
We will be meeting at 10am for a brief training at the Salem Family YMCA, 685 Court St. NE, Salem, OR before walking over to the Capitol
