Read MoreAs announced in March, AFSCME Local 328 and OHSU reached a settlement on our union’s unfair labor practice complaints, which stemmed from management’s social-media trolling and other inappropriate behavior during bargaining in 2019. A key part of that settlement is an independent investigation to determine if Local 328’s perception of anti-union bias within certain parts of OHSU is valid.

Another webinar, “Learning Support Services During COVID-19 Pandemic,” is being held Monday, May 4, from 12:00 noon to 12:30 p.m. This presentation will provide many relevant tips that apply to not only OHSU students, but also to any OHSU employee taking classes of any sort, as well as to parents who may be home-schooling during the pandemic.

No cuts to our pay have been announced because it is not permissible for OHSU to impose unilateral actions with a financial impact to the terms of our contract without our union’s approval. OHSU approached union leadership today about opening budget talks, but the specifics of OHSU’s position are not yet known.
