Add Your Name Before We Deliver Our Petition to OHSU
For eleven months, AFSCME Local 328 members have been doing everything we can to move OHSU toward a fair contract — showing up at bargaining, conducting an overwhelming ‘YES’ strike vote, and standing together across every unit of this institution. Now, with the petition calling on President Elnahal to settle a fair contract, we’re taking that message directly to OHSU leadership.
Next week, Local 328 members will deliver thousands of signatures straight to President Elnahal’s office — signatures from frontline workers, patients, families, and community supporters who know how essential our work is and how urgently OHSU needs to invest in the people who keep the hospital and university running.
This petition is a clear statement of solidarity and shared values:
Living wages so no worker at OHSU has to sacrifice housing, childcare, or basic stability.
Safe staffing and realistic workloads so we can provide high-quality care and service without burning out.
Respect and a fair contract that protects all workers.
The message is simple: OHSU cannot function without us — and it’s time for leadership to show up at the bargaining table ready to settle a fair agreement.
