As an AFSCME-represented employee, you are eligible to apply for two open seats on the OHSU/AFSCME Labor Management Committeea collaboration between OHSU and AFSCME that brings employees and managers together with the mission of improving the workplace.

What seats are currently open?
The LMC recruits on an annual basis and is seeking AFSCME-represented employees for two open seats.
Who is on the committee?
Six AFSCME-represented employees and six managers with AFSCME-represented staff compose the LMC, representing OHSU across mission areas. See the current membership on O2.
What is the time commitment?
Joining requires a minimum four-hour-per-month time commitment to attend a monthly meeting (a total of ten meetings per year). AFSCME-represented employees attend the meetings on paid time, as negotiated in the current bargaining agreement. Additional time may be required for delegated tasks. Membership is on a rolling two-year rotation.
Applications and a position description can be found on the membership page. The LMC welcomes members from all OHSU campuses and clinics. You do not need to work on Marquam Hill or in Portland to apply. Applications due by February 8.
