BridgeBuilders is a conflict resolution program offered by Local 328. The program is designed to help workers who are in conflict with a coworker get assistance from a member trained in conflict resolution. The program is confidential and designed to help create an improved workplace by reducing workplace hostility.
Local 328 works in cooperation with OHSU to make the program available to our members, but results of interventions remain within the BridgeBuilders program and are not shared with OHSU.
To contact BridgeBuilders emai or call Frank Vehafric at email@example.com or at 503-239-9858 ext 112
This committee is looking out for the best interests of working families at local 328. We meet the first Thursday of each month in the AFSCME office. Contact Michael Stewart, PAC chair, for more information firstname.lastname@example.org
Our AFSCME Local has been a regular contributor to the Oregon Food Bank through donations and volunteering our time. Many AFSCME local 328 members come out to both donate food to the food bank and to help with the packaging of food. Please join us for our next Local 328 Volunteer Food Bank day! Watch the local calendar for dates!
The environmental caucus was formed by a group of likeminded activists who felt that AFSCME could be doing a better job in addressing environmental issues.
The caucus is open to any council 75 members who are interested, so in addition to members from our local, it’s likely that you’ll interact with professionals from DEQ or Metro who are incredibly passionate about making the world a better place.
Next wave is a program designed around engaging younger union members and encouraging them to take a more active role in the union. In addition to having traditional committee meetings or trainings, there is also a standing monthly event where Next Wavers meet up for drinks, socialize with other young union members, and just have a good time.
Next wave is a council wide committee, so individuals who participate are able to interact with brothers and sisters from all over the state.
