We have been having good discussions on the blog about a PTO system which OHSU would like to switch to. Our contract provides for a task force to "explore" a PTO proposal. While we are calling this a proposal by way of reference, it's not a "proposal" in the collective bargaining sense - meaning we are not in bargaining and we are not required to make an agreement one way or another. However, nothing prevents OHSU from putting this on the table in the form of an official proposal when we do bargaining again in 2019.
We think that discussions about PTO should be based on facts and so we have attached the PTO proposal that OHSU presented to our union on May 1st. We have not had a meeting since then and no task force has yet been formed. Please go to our blog to comment on PTO.
